This is the San Diego Sub base, this is home port to ~40 Submariners. This is a picture overlooking the base. You can see "ballast Point" in the foreground, a common landmark for Navy personnel returning from sea. The white ship you see in the background is a big hospital ship. The other gray ship you see is a Submarine support ship or "Tender".
